What makes this beach stand out is that it’s located inside a cave accessible only by sea. Over time, the cave’s roof collapsed, creating a skylight that allows sunlight to illuminate its interior, forming an incredibly impressive landscape. It is speculated that the roof collapse was the result of an earthquake, while the name Sikia likely comes from a fig tree near the opening of the roof.
Inside, the cave hides a very small beach with pebbles and crystal-clear, azure waters. The only way to reach it is by your own boat, due to the small opening of the cave. Swimming in the cool waters of Sikia is definitely a unique experience you shouldn’t miss.
